Reclassification training is mandatory for staff working in non formal education and childcare services (Crèches, Maison Relais, Foyer du jour) who wish to be eligible for a change in classification.

The content of this 41 - hour training program is devided into two modules : 

Module 1 : Non formal education (40hours, in-person)

This module covers the main points of the National Reference Framework for Non-Formal Education. You will explore the following topics:

• Non-Formal Education : Pedagogical Approach
• Non-Formal Education : Specifics of Early Childhood
• Non-Formal Education : Specifics of School-Aged Children

Those wishing to request an exemption from Module 1 must also submit a copy of their certificate of completion for the " Bases de l'éducation et de l'accueil".

Module 2 : The legal framework (1hour, e-learning)

This e-learning module provides an overview of the regulatory framework and the roles of the various stakeholders. It is divided into 6 units, each lasting about 10 minutes, which you can view on your computer : 

• U1 : Objectives and Responsibilities of the Direction générale du secteur de l'Enfance (DGE)
• U2 : Current Legislative Regulations
• U3 : Characteristics of an Education and Childcare Service (SEA)
• U4 : Applying for and Obtaining an agrément
• U5 : Become a CSA service provider
• U6 : Funding for educational and childcare facilities and the contact list within the Ministry.

The link to participate in Module 2 will be available for several days so that participants can complete the training at their convenience. The link will only be sent after Module 1 has been completed or after an exemption has been approved.

HOW TO ENROLL :

Participation is subject to eligibility requirements based on the criteria necessary for a change in classification :

Required Qualifications : 

• Bachelor's degree (Bac +3) in one of the following fields: 

psychosocial field OT

pedagogical field OR

socio-educational field OR

areas of action defined in the National Reference Framework OR

• Hold a DAP-level degree in the field

psychosocial OR

socio-educational OR

pedagogical

Required work experience : 

• Two years of professional experience in the non-formal education sector
